Held the fourth Thursday of each February at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School (OLMC), DSCDO’s Annual Meeting and Spaghetti Dinner is a cherished neighborhood tradition.
5pm doors open | 5-6:30pm dinner | 6:30pm meeting
The evening includes recognition of neighborhood leaders, DSCDO’s board elections, and OLMC’s famous spaghetti dinner. DSCDO’s partnership with OLMC goes back to the early days of our organization, when Father Marino Frascati united with DSCDO to save the Gordon Square Arcade from demolition and build a community where all could live, work, worship and do business safely and with dignity.
Our 2020 keynote speaker is Erika Anthony, Co-Founder of Cleveland VOTES and Executive Director of Ohio Transformation Fund. Erika’s presentation, which is less than one month away from the Primary Election and just over a month from Census 2020, will be “Realizing Democracy: How Can You Create Transformative Change?” She will discuss how we all can contribute to democracy building and educate, connect, and empower our communities, now and into the future.
Neighborhood residents and business owners must purchase or renew their DSCDO membership in order to attend the Annual Meeting and vote in board member elections. Purchase your 2020 membership online or by filling out a paper form (mailed on the back of the Winter 2020 edition of the Neighborhood Views newsletter and available at the DSCDO office, 6516 Detroit Avenue, Suite 1). Memberships can also be purchased in person between 5:00-6:30pm at the Annual Meeting.
Paid members can cast their ballots in board elections in two ways. You may cast your ballot in person at the Annual Meeting until 6:30pm.
